It is such a small world. Haley grew up in Texas, but was roommates with a girl I grew up with in Idaho! When she asked if I would be willing to do some maternity pictures, I was SO excited. I would have to say that maternity photography has to be my favorite. There is nothing like a beautiful, glowing mother with a growing bump. It is such a blessing and an honor to be a mother and it is a role that I hold sacred. Big brother Will was so cute giving the baby “loves”.  I wish them all the luck in the world!

Browning Family

If you have been following me on Facebook, you know that we have had quite the crazy few months. We sold a house, bought a house, graduated from school, found out we are expecting in October and moved to TEXAS! It’s been crazy–which explains for the lack of sessions. I have just been so sick and busy. But now we are starting to settle into Texas and beginning our new life here.

Before we moved, I broke a rule and did a family session. I don’t do a lot of family sessions because I just prefer to focus more on weddings and graduating seniors, but I just couldn’t say no! One of my best friends married into this wonderful family and when they asked if I would take some pictures for them, I almost didn’t know if I could make it happen. But our schedules worked well together and we made it happen. These guys are so fun. They are just genuinely happy people and it made for genuine pictures. Sure love what I do 🙂

Behind the Screen Styled Shoot

Remember back in September when I attended the Behind the Screen Workshop put on by the awesome AK Studio and Design.  (You can go read about it by clicking the bold text.) I loved my time there and everything I learned, but of course the best part of it was the photo shoot! I gotta say I LOVE what I do. This styled shoot was so beautiful.  The decor was provided by Middle Aisle and boy did they go all out.  I’ve never seen green done so elegantly. I absolutely loved the sequin tablecloths and I’ve got to say-I’ve got a thing for the sequins and anything that adds a little pizazz.  Aren’t the elephant place cards so cute too? The flowers—oh the flowers. I adored the flower centerpieces.  Bloomers did a fantastic job of adding a soft elegance to the tables. Jacki Miller Design did all the announcements and stationary, giving the entire shoot a very high class feel. Sweet Cakes by Karen provided the very pretty, unique cake.  The stunning bride was styled by Julie Thomas Style, who did such an amazing job. It was such a fun shoot and I could have been there all night! The location was so beautiful with all the red rocks and palm trees and the light was AMAZING.

Love these images? Let me know and share the love!
